To me Aunt Anna will be remembered for her hard work ethics, sacastic laugh, and the way she spoke her mind. Forman has lost an icon. Got-A Luv Her.
Though saddened by her passing we can find comfort in the scriptures that she is resting now, at peace and in no pain.
For those that survive her we look forward to a time when all can was there will be no more sickness, Isa. 33:24.
May our prayers console all those mourning in this time of sadness.
Love to all the extended family. xoxoxo Sharon (niece)

Thanks for your interest in Forman history. Questions about history and genealogy are best directed to the Sargent County Museum. They have a lot of great genealogy resources and would be happy to help you out. I've forwarded your question on to them.

I remember your dad. My dad, Earl Grammond helped put machinery together for your dad when we first moved to Forman in 1950. I remember the wooden carved horses at your house. I live in Grey Eagle, Minnesota and have for 43 years since leaving Cogswell where I was a principal for 5 years.

Hello, My father, Chet Fredrickson, had a business called Sargent County Implement in the early 50's. My Uncle Ray farmed near Forman for many years. I have many fond memories of growing up in Forman. We moved to Lisbon in 1957 and Dad died the following year. I was touched when I visited the Museum and saw a milk bottle carrier that my Dad had made in his shop during the slow time in winter. I have lived in Seattle for 43 years, but am still proud of my "small town" North Dakota roots.

Thank you!

I am not certain if more trees are being planted around the lake. However, Forman recently celebrated its 19th consecutive Arbor Day this May 27th, 2009 by planting 75 boulevard trees. Several varieties were planted, including Bergeson & Mancana Ash, Redmond Linden, Spring Snow & Red Splendor Flowering Crab, and a new Dutch Elm resistant hybrid; Accolade Elm. Since 1990, over 1000 trees have been planted by the Shade Tree Committee in Forman.
